Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

Madrid gathered faith representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to celebrate cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. The Diversity round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers shared different experiences and viewpoints on how education can help build more inclusive communities.

In the discussion, participants explored themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when supported by education and dialogue.
